Welcoming nearly 300 attendees at STRIVE's largest and most transformative iteration yet, STRIVE 2025 marked a new chapter in the conference's history.
VANCOUVER, CANADA — On February 22–23, 2025, the UBC Sauder School of Business and the Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre were abuzz with youthful energy as passionate future business leaders convened for STRIVE 2025, Canada's premier technology-focused case competition.
Since its inception, STRIVE has stood out for its emphasis on the intersection of business and technology. Each year, the competition challenges students to think critically, innovate boldly, and collaborate effectively, pushing them beyond traditional classroom learning.
“STRIVE is about more than just competition—it’s about empowering students with the skills and confidence to thrive in the rapidly evolving business world,” said Max Chen, Chair of STRIVE 2025. “This year, we’ve expanded our programming to ensure that every participant leaves with valuable insights, practical experience, and meaningful connections.”

After an intensive day of presentations on Sunday, the winning team of STRIVE 2025 took home our brand new grand prize of $1,500, a 50% increase compared to previous iterations of STRIVE. In addition, top 8 teams of STRIVE 2025 received automatic qualification status for the upcoming Prosper Ivey Invitational Competition, scheduled to take place from June 28-29, 2025 at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler.
Beyond the case competition, attendees had the opportunity to participate in a variety of engaging workshops hosted by renowned speakers. These sessions covered topics such as Esports, slide deck design, and product management, providing participants with insights into the intersection of business and technology. The event also featured our largest STRIVE Expo to date, allowing students to connect with a variety of clubs and non-profit organizations in the Lower Mainland.

The success of STRIVE 2025 further exemplifies Prosper Foundation's commitment to providing high school students with unparalleled opportunities to develop business acumen and leadership skills. As a pioneering event in the region's educational landscape, STRIVE continues to set a new standard for youth business conferences, inspiring the next generation of business leaders to innovate and excel.
